Your Tutor Paul
I founded Paul Merison Training after 30 years of teaching and training accountancy, in particular audit, corporate governance, business ethics and sustainability. I have been a tutor at various colleges, set up colleges and managed tutor teams in the UK and Singapore, been an audit examiner and marker, been Training Director for a firm of accountants, written several study manuals, question banks, sets of class notes and mock exams, and am currently an Expert Tutor for audit papers for the ACCA.
Now I put all this experience to run my own courses, doing everything for students myself. This freedom means I provide a consistent approach, where all the teaching, exercises and materials follow the same methods to help embed good exam technique from start to finish and maximise exam marks.

I believe in structured learning, clear explanations and practical examples that make challenging subjects approachable. My students value the clarity I bring to complex topics and the exam-focused insight gained from years of teaching.
